What Should I Do Here?

I’m at a point in my career where I’m seriously considering making a switch to a field I’m genuinely passionate about. The problem is it’s not the most financially secure or socially validated option. On the other hand, my current job is stable and pays well, but I don’t feel fulfilled or excited about what I’m doing. I’ve been reading stories about people who took the leap into something they love and ended up thriving, but I also know that not everyone lands on their feet. That makes me hesitate. I have responsibilities and can’t afford to make a reckless decision. So I’m curious how have you personally approached this kind of decision? Have you prioritized your passion or stuck with a practical choice? Or did you find a way to do both? What factors helped you make your decision, and what do you wish you knew earlier? I’d really appreciate any honest insights, lessons learned, or even regrets. I think hearing real experiences from others in the community would help me (and maybe others here too) gain perspective.
